I tend to spend to long in the shower. It's my own personal little sanctuary away from the world, so when I get in there, I don't want to get out. This is not a good thing when I am needing to get the girls off to school in the morning and it's not good for our environment (Australia is currently in drought and we have water restrictions) so I have found that using a timer helps. I set the timer for between 5 and 10 minutes depending on what I need to wash and when it goes off I get out.
It's also great to make the kids have quick showers. So that's what work for me :)

I used to do this, too, but then my timer break. Thanks for the reminder of how well it works!
I need to do this for my girls. They sometimes get in there and forget to come out if I didn't remind them that they're having a shower and not a bath!
I use this on DS who would stay in the shower until the water dept calls to complain!
